DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. — Rescue crews removed a person from the water at Chatfield Reservoir Sunday afternoon, South Metro Fire Rescue said.
The person was reported to have gone underwater near the Kingfisher area of the south end of the reservoir and never resurfaced, South Metro Fire said. The water rescue call came in just after 4:30 p.m.
Dive teams from South Metro Fire Rescue and Colorado Parks and Wildlife, along with Douglas County Sheriff’s Office deputies, all responded.
Around 5:30 p.m., the person was removed from the water and taken to the hospital.
