Expect scattered rain and snow showers across the Front Range and plains Monday. A cooler Thanksgiving Day is on the way.

DENVER — A cold front pushed into Colorado on Monday, bringing moisture and colder temperatures.

The front has brought rain showers, light snow and snow showers to northeast Colorado, including the Denver metro area and Front Range. There is also a chance for gusty winds Monday.

The Front Range can expect scattered rain and snow showers along the Interstate 25 corridor from Denver to Fort Collins with wet roads being the primary impact.

Snow will fall in the Colorado high country, as well as the Palmer Divide, on Monday with difficult travel conditions at times. The heaviest amounts of snow are expected across southern Jefferson and Douglas counties, with 2 to 6 inches of accumulation.

A Winter Weather Advisory for portions of the southwestern quadrant of the Colorado expired at 5 a.m. Monday.

A brief high pressure ridge will build into Colorado on Tuesday and Wednesday, bringing sunshine and milder temperatures.

Colorado will see a chillier Thanksgiving Day. The region will become mostly cloudy and colder with snow showers developing for Denver and the east Thursday night into Friday with much colder temperatures.
