Lakewood police are investigating a fatal crash that happened at the intersection of West Alameda Avenue and South Depew Street Sunday morning.
LAKEWOOD, Colo. — A driver was taken into custody after a crash killed a pedestrian at the intersection of West Alameda Avenue and South Depew Street in Lakewood.
Lakewood Police say the call came in at 5:25 a.m. Sunday morning. They did not say whether the driver stayed at the scene after the crash, but did tell 9NEWS the driver had been taken into custody.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation and the victim hasn’t been identified yet.
Westbound Alameda Avenue was closed between South Fenton Street and South Depew Street because of the crash. The road was reopened at 9:45 a.m.
