Police also released photos of two suspects they said were responsible for the break-in at Aurora West College Preparatory Academy.
AURORA, Colo. — Photos released Wednesday show that an Aurora school was littered with shards of glass after two males broke into the school late Monday night.
Aurora Police shared photos of two males they said broke into Aurora West College Preparatory Academy, at 10100 E. 13th Ave., around 11 p.m. Monday.
The damage wasn’t discovered until about 5 a.m. Tuesday when police responded to the 6-12 public school for a report of a break-in. Aurora Public Schools said the damage was “significant” and as a result the school was closed Tuesday while the school was cleaned. It reopened on Wednesday.
Police shared photos of the suspects and asked the public to help identify them. In one of the photos, one of the suspects appears to be carrying a large rock.

Photos released of the damage show that several glass display cases that lined a hallway were shattered. Shards of glass littered the floors.

Another photo shows a bent television mounted in a classroom or office area.

Anyone who recognizes either of the males is asked to contact Detective Vance at 303-739-1825. Callers can also remain anonymous by submitting tips through Metro Denver Crime Stoppers.
Tipsters can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000.
