WASHINGTON — Pantone has unveiled Peach Fuzz as its color of the year for 2024, while also celebrating a major milestone for the annual program.
This year also marks the 25th anniversary of the Pantone program, which Pressman noted started as a way to engage the design community and color enthusiasts around the world in a conversation around color.
“Growing in popularity each year, its impact is felt across fashion, color cosmetics, home furnishings, automotive and industrial design, as well as product, packaging, multimedia design, and commercial interiors,” Pressman added.
Some of the past colors of the year included Viva Magenta in 2023, Illuminating and Ultimate Gray in 2021, Classic Blue in 2020, Living Coral in 2019 and Ultra Violet in 2018. The first color of the year introduced in 1999 was Cerulean Blue.
