NOTTINGHAM FOREST have released THIRTEEN players – and lost a further five thanks to their loan deals ending.
Forest escaped relegation from the Premier League in 2023-24 despite a four-point deduction for breaking financial rules.
But their squad has taken a major stripping back thanks to contracts expiring.
That includes £40,000-a-week midfielder Harry Arter – who last played for the club in January 2021.
Arter joined from Bournemouth in 2020 and made all 15 of his appearances for the East Midlanders in the first half of the 2020-21 season.
His final game was a 1-0 FA Cup win over Cardiff – a staggering 1,243 days ago.
Cheikhou Kouyate, Loic Mbe Soh and goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey have also been let go.
Scott McKenna has left after four years with Forest – although the Scotland international spent the second half of last season on loan at Copenhagen.
Lastly, Brazilian defender Felipe’s contract has also expired.
And the former Porto and Atletico Madrid ace – who earned two caps for his country – called time on his career by retiring aged 35.

A further seven academy players were let go by Forest.
Five loanees, meanwhile, returned to their parent clubs following the end of their temporary switches to Forest.
That includes former Liverpool forward Divock Origi, who was on loan from AC Milan, and Borussia Dortmund ace Gio Reyna.
Nuno Tavares headed back to Arsenal after 12 games for Forest
Gonzalo Montiel and Rodrigo Ribeiro complete the list of exiting stars.
However, defender Willy Boly will be staying at the City Ground.
