Issues at DIA continued Sunday after more than 1,000 flights were canceled or delayed Saturday as winter weather moved through the area.
DENVER — More than 1,000 flights were delayed or canceled Saturday at Colorado’s biggest airport as winter weather conditions roll in for the Denver metro area.
As of 8:15 a.m. Sunday, 88 flights were delayed and 19 were canceled at Denver International Airport (DIA), according to FlightAware.
A total of 982 flights were delayed and 175 were canceled Saturday, according to FlightAware.

Impacted airlines include Southwest, United, SkyWest, Delta and American.
Rain and snow moved into the Denver metro area Saturday morning, leaving significant snow accumulations. Colorado’s mountains have received more than a foot of snow in some areas.
9NEWS meteorologist Chris Bianchi said low visibility from fog was a factor in the delays and cancelations on Sunday.
