In the first trailer for the eighth “Mission: Impossible” installment, Tom Cruise says “every choice has led to this.”

Tom Cruise and Paramount Pictures released the first teaser trailer and official title on Monday for the upcoming eighth installment of the “Mission: Impossible” franchise.
The movie’s title was revealed to be “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning.”
“Every choice has led to this,” Cruise wrote on Instagram, also revealing the film’s poster, on Monday.
Cruise reprises his role as Ethan Hunt in the eighth film, which is again from writer-director Christopher McQuarrie. Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Pom Klementieff and Vanessa Kirby also star.
The seventh film, “Mission: Impossible: Dead Reckoning,” originally titled Part One, was released in 2023.
“Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning” arrives in theaters on May 23, 2025.
