Federico Chiesa situation
Manchester United keeping tabs on Juventus star Federico Chiesa.
Chiesa is also being eyed by Tottenham as well as Arsenal during the summer transfer window.
According to the Daily Mail, Juve are looking to offload eight players this summer including the winger.
Both United and the Gunners are eyeing a cut-price deal for the 26-year-old, who is into the final year of his contract.
Jadon Sancho’s new position
Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag insists he can start the season with Jadon Sancho as a false nine.
Sancho has been used in that position during the US tour after Rasmus Hojlund got injured soon after scoring in the opening game against Arsenal.
Joshua Zirkzee is available after his £36.5million switch from Bologna but Ten Hag appears reticent to start him in the early games of the season while he gets used to his new teammates and the Premier League.
That is what we can do if we don’t have the availability of Rasmus. We know he can play in wide areas, but also as a false striker, he’s an option.
But of course, Joshua Zirkzee, he is coming in, he has started training.
But consider that he is not so long in training, so that will take time, and he has to adapt to English football and our way of playing as well. So there is also, of course, Jadon, as a striker.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka Exclusive
Aaron Wan-Bissaka is demanding a multi-million pound pay-off from Manchester United to leave the club this summer.
SunSport has learned that while West Ham are willing to meet United’s £18million valuation for Wan-Bissaka they cannot afford his wage demands leaving the deal in limbo.
Wan-Bissaka is open to joining West Ham, but has no huge desire to leave United and is refusing to sell himself short.
The 26-year-old has less than 12 months left on his contract at Old Trafford and could bank a huge signing-on fee by staying put and leaving on a free transfer next summer.
Wan-Bissaka’s representatives are pushing for United to give the player a chunk of the £18m fee they will receive from West Ham in order to get the deal done this summer.
The former Crystal Palace defender has been on the same £90,000-a-week contract at United since he joined the club five years ago and is determined to secure a significant increase, which West Ham cannot offer.
Inter Milan are also interested in Wan-Bissaka and he could sign a pre-contract agreement with the Italian club in January if the West Ham move breaks down.
De Gea’s club hunt
Fiorentina are confident they can sign free agent David de Gea.
The Spanish goalkeeper has been without a club since leaving Manchester United last summer.
According to La Nazione, De Gea is Fiorentina’s top target for the position as confidence grows that a deal can be agreed.
De Gea was linked with a move to Serie A side Genoa earlier this summer but his wage demands proved a stumbling block.
Fans turn on Casemiro
Manchester United fans have called for the club to “loan out Casemiro” after his pre-season displays against Arsenal and Liverpool.
The Red Devils are expected to send youngsters Toby Collyer and Harry Amass out on loan this summer.
However, fans have reacted on social media, with one writing: “Loan out Casemiro.”
Another added: “Keep the two lads and develop them. Why get rid of the youngsters?”
United talks
Manchester United are ready to continue talks with Bayern Munich over the signings of Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui.
According to Fabrizio Romano, both players remain confident they will join United this summer.
The Red Devils have agreed five-year deals with both De Ligt and Mazraoui.
Erik ten Hag previously worked with the pair during his time as Ajax manager.
