MANCHESTER UNITED have agreed terms with Everton centre-back Jarrad Branthwaite, according to reports.
The Toffees defender, 21, enjoyed a sensational season at Goodison Park which saw him earn a call-up to Gareth Southgate’s provisional squad for Euro 2024.
But after not making the final squad for the tournament, he has now reportedly struck a deal with Man Utd, although the Red Devils are yet to agree a transfer fee with Everton.
According to The Times, the Merseyside club are holding out for £70million.
Branthwaite’s arrival at Old Trafford would make him the club’s first signing since co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe purchased his stake.
News of Man Utd closing in on the defender also comes just 24 hours after it was revealed manager Erik ten Hag will be staying.
