AURORA, Colo. — Police have arrested one suspect and are looking for another after a man was seriously hurt in a shooting at an Aurora park Thursday.
The Aurora Police Department posted on X at 3:42 p.m. Thursday that officers were responding to a shooting at Montview Park, located at Chester Street and East Montview Boulevard.
Police said a man was shot and was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Officers are aware of two suspects, according to police, and one of them is in custody.

Metro Denver Crime Stoppers works by assigning a code to people who anonymously submit a tip. Information is shared with law enforcement, and Crime Stoppers is notified at the conclusion of the investigation.
From there, an awards committee reviews the information provided and, if the information leads to an arrest, the tipster will be notified. Rewards can be collected using the code numbers received when the tip was originally submitted.
