The victim reported being shot at after asking a group of juveniles, who were not residents, to leave the apartment complex he lived at, Loveland Police say.
LOVELAND, Colo. — A juvenile boy accused of attempted murder after a shooting at an apartment complex was arrested Thursday, Loveland Police said.
Officers responded around 2:30 p.m. Thursday to a shooting reported at Autumn Lake Apartments located at 652 E. 23rd St., police said.

The group got into a grey Jeep Renegade and left the scene north on Monroe Avenue. A local school was temporarily put on secure perimeter after the shooting.
Investigators identified the juvenile boy as a person of interest, and a short time later the Jeep was seen leaving an apartment complex in Fort Collins, police said. He was found inside one of the apartments and taken into custody.
He was booked into Larimer County’s Juvenile Assessment Center on suspicion of the following charges:
- 2nd-degree attempted murder
- Felony menacing/intimidation
- Misdemeanor reckless endangerment
