Yuri Dudik, 33, pleaded guilty to one count of second-degree assault on a peace officer and one count of third-degree assault, according to court documents.
CENTENNIAL, Colo. — A man pleaded guilty Oct. 16 to two assault charges in connection with a 2022 incident in which he was accused of running over a deputy’s legs with a car and scratching another deputy with a fish hook.
Yuri Dudik, 33, pleaded guilty to one count of second-degree assault on a peace officer and one count of third-degree assault, according to court documents. Other charges against him were dismissed as part of the plea agreement.
The incident happened Feb. 7, 2022 in the area of East Cresthill Avenue and South Saint Paul Way in Centennial, the affidavit for Dudik’s arrest said. Deputies initially responded to a disturbance at a home there. When one of the home’s residents tried to get Dudik to leave, he sprayed pepper spray and bit the resident, the affidavit said.
The Arapahoe County deputy who was run over was treated for bruises and scrapes and released from the hospital. The other deputy was treated at the scene for “small cuts” from the fish hook.
Dudik was sentenced Jan. 8 to three years of probation.
