Colorado Springs Police said a 29-year-old man died in the shooting. No arrests have been made.
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — A man was killed in a shooting during a youth football game in Colorado Springs Saturday.
Our partners at KRDO report that a 29-year-old man was shot and killed outside Atlas Preparatory School Saturday, where a youth football game was being played. No one else was hurt.
According to a statement on Atlas Preparatory School’s Facebook page, the shooting happened when a fight broke out during a game hosted by an external group. The statement says while the fight happened on Atlas’ grounds, neither Atlas nor any of its students were involved or affected.
The statement says Atlas rents its sports fields and facilities to external groups on the weekends.
Colorado Springs Police said there have been no arrests in the shooting.
