AURORA, Colo. — One person died after a boat capsized Monday morning on Aurora Reservoir, according to police.
Aurora Fire Rescue said they responded about 9:30 a.m. Monday to a person in the water. Aurora Reservoir park rangers were able to pull the person from the water, the fire agency said.
The victim, a man, was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to an Aurora Police Department spokesperson.
The South Metro Fire Rescue dive team checked the area where the boat overturned to make sure only one person was in the water.
Aurora Police said the man who died was the only one involved in the incident and that they were investigating the death as accidental.
