DENVER — A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a shooting earlier this month at a shopping center in southwest Denver, according to Denver Police.
The victims, a man and woman, were shot in the area of 880 S. Federal Blvd, near the intersection with West Kentucky Avenue, on April 3. They walked to a nearby fire station and were then taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect initially left the scene but was arrested on April 11. He’s been identified as 21-year-old Arturo Regla Sanchez. He was booked into the Downtown Detention Center and is being held on a charge of attempted first-degree murder.

Metro Denver Crime Stoppers works by assigning a code to people who anonymously submit a tip. Information is shared with law enforcement, and Crime Stoppers is notified at the conclusion of the investigation.
From there, an awards committee reviews the information provided and, if the information leads to an arrest, the tipster will be notified. Rewards can be collected using the code numbers received when the tip was originally submitted.
