“Thank you for including me, your fake mom who left you home alone not once but twice, to share in this happy occasion.”

LOS ANGELES — Macaulay Culkin reunited with his “Home Alone” on-screen mom Catherine O’Hara at a ceremony revealing his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Friday.

Culkin, 43, launched his career as a child actor with his role as Kevin McCallister in the 1990 movie “Home Alone” and its 1992 sequel, “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York.” He has continued to act in smaller roles.

O’Hara gave a speech at the ceremony, looking back at the hit franchise and the 33 years since it was released.

“Macaulay, congratulations,” O’Hara said her speech. “You so deserve your star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. And thank you for including me, your fake mom who left you home alone not once but twice, to share in this happy occasion. I’m so proud of you.”

Actor Natasha Lyonne, Culkin’s co-star in 2003’s “Party Monster,” also spoke at the ceremony.

Culkin thanked those who helped him throughout his career. He attended the ceremony with his fiancee, Brenda Song, and their two young sons, who he thanked in his acceptance speech.

“You’re the best person I’ve ever known,” said Culkin. “You’ve given me purpose, family. After the birth of our two boys, you’ve become one of my three favorite people.”

Culkin ended his speech with a callback to “Home Alone 2”: “To wrap things up, and in the spirit of the holiday season, I just wanna say Merry Christmas, ya filthy animals.”
