Police said they are looking for a domestic violence suspect who has an arrest warrant out.

LITTLETON, Colo. — A domestic violence suspect forced police in Littleton to issue a shelter in place.

Littleton Police said there is a large law enforcement presence in the area of Littleton Boulevard near Huron Street. That area is about eight blocks west of Broadway.

A spokesperson for Littleton Police said the shelter in place was issued out of an abundance of caution.

The suspect ran from officers who were trying to take them into custody on an outstanding arrest warrant for a domestic violence-related charge.

This is a developing situation. We will update this story as confirmed information becomes available.
