LARIMER COUNTY, Colo. — Multiple agencies are searching Lon Hagler Reservoir in Larimer County for a kayaker who failed to return home as planned, a sheriff’s office spokeswoman said.
The Larimer County Dive Rescue team, Loveland Fire Rescue Authority, Colorado Parks and Wildlife, and other partners are at the reservoir searching for the missing man.
Lon Hagler Reservoir is a State Wildlife Area and is located a few miles west of Campion in southeast Larimer County. According to the sheriff’s office, the missing man was kayaking at the reservoir Tuesday afternoon but failed to return home as expected. Family members received communication that indicated he was on the reservoir in the late afternoon and search efforts are focused on that area.

Community members are asked to avoid the area to allow first responders space to conduct their search as safely and efficiently as possible.
