Police said the man has been safely taken into custody.
AURORA, Colo. — Aurora police closed part of Interstate 70 while they dealt with a man with a gun Saturday.
The Aurora Police Department said just after 3:15 p.m., officers responded to 911 calls about a man holding a gun in the air while standing in the median of I-70 at Tower Road.
Responding officers saw the man holding a gun and closed the interstate in both directions.
Just after 4 p.m., police tweeted that the man had been safely placed into custody and that they would be reopening I-70 shortly.
