Grand jury indicts man for Parker bomb threats

A grand jury indicted Matthew Cook on two counts of falsely conveying a bomb threat.

PARKER, Colo. — A federal grand jury has indicted a man for making bomb threats at two stores in Parker.

Matthew Cook, 33, faces two counts of falsely conveying a bomb threat from two incidents on July 26 and Aug. 17, according to the Parker Police Department.

According to police, Cook claimed there was a bomb at the Cottonwood King Soopers on July 26 and at the Parker Walmart on Aug. 17. 

The Parker Police Department and the FBI were involved in the investigation. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Laura Cramer-Babycz.
