Passengers were stranded at Denver International Airport for hours due to a Microsoft outage, according to the airline.
DENVER — Frontier Airlines passengers were stranded at airports across the country, including Denver International Airport, due to a computer problem that put the airline on a nationwide ground stop.
Frontier posted on social media just after 6 p.m. that their systems were impacted by a Microsoft outage that also affected other companies.
“During this time booking, check-in, access to your boarding pass, and some flights may be impacted. We appreciate your patience,” the airline posted.
A Frontier spokesperson said the airline initiated a ground stop and was working with outside vendors to restore normal operations.
FlightAware showed Frontier had more flights canceled out of DIA than at any other airport, with 30 canceled and more than 50 delayed.
At around 8:45 p.m., the spokesperson said the ground stop had been lifted and that they were in the process of resuming flight operations.
