The shooting was reported in the 18000 block of E. Kentucky Avenue.

AURORA, Colo. — A man who was shot Tuesday night in Aurora died from his injuries and his death is being investigated as a homicide, according to the Aurora Police Department.

The shooting was reported in the 18000 block of E. Kentucky Avenue. When officers arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died, according to police. His name will be released by the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office.

A spokesperson for the police department said they’re still looking into the circumstances of the shooting and working to identify a potential suspect or suspects.

Metro Denver Crime Stoppers works by assigning a code to people who anonymously submit a tip. Information is shared with law enforcement, and Crime Stoppers is notified at the conclusion of the investigation. 

From there, an awards committee reviews the information provided and, if the information leads to an arrest, the tipster will be notified. Rewards can be collected using the code numbers received when the tip was originally submitted.
