MARCO ALONSO’S career at Barcelona has come to an end after the La Liga giants announced he will leave at the end of the season.
The ex-Chelsea switched to the Catalan giants from Stamford Bridge two and a half years ago.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano tweeted the news that the 33-year-old will leave as a free agent at the end of the term.
He said: “Understand Marcos Alonso will leave Barcelona as free agent at the end of the current season.
“Massive respect between club and player but he’s leaving in June, decision made.
“Sergi Roberto could also leave for free but final decision will also depend on Xavi’s future.”
