The crash led to an hours-long closure of eastbound Interstate 76 during Tuesday morning’s commute.
DENVER — Eastbound lanes of Interstate 76 were closed Tuesday morning following a fatal crash near Sheridan Boulevard.
CSP Trooper Gabriel Moltrer said the crash was reported at 4:46 a.m. between a vehicle and bicycle. One person was killed in the collision, Moltrer said.
The crash has led to an hours-long eastbound closure of I-76 between Sheridan and Wadsworth boulevards.
As of 7:30 a.m., a tow truck and a front loader have arrived at the scene to help clean up the wreck.
Travelers should expect delays when traveling through the area. No other details were immediately available.
