LAKEWOOD, Colo. — A police pursuit ended in a shooting early Tuesday morning in Lakewood involving Thornton Police.
Crews were investigating two scenes. One at West Alameda Avenue and South Sheridan Boulevard and a second scene near West 2nd Avenue and Garrison Street in Lakewood.
Thornton Police officers were involved in a pursuit that resulted in the shooting, the agency posted on the social platform X at about 6:50 a.m. Police did not initially provide information about injuries from the shooting. It’s not clear where the pursuit began or why it was initiated.
Police planned to provide an update Tuesday morning with more information about the incident.
