Driver runs from deadly Denver crash, police say

Police say the at-fault driver ran from the scene of the crash that killed their passenger in the 11000 block of E. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard Sunday morning.

DENVER — Denver Police are investigating after a driver left the scene of a deadly crash Sunday morning.

Police initially posted on social media at 3:41 a.m. that officers were investigating the crash in the 11000 block of E. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard near the intersection with Central Park Boulevard.

Investigators believe the at-fault driver was going the wrong way when he crashed into another driver and ran away from the scene.

The passenger in their vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene, and the driver and passenger in the vehicle they crashed into were transported to the hospital. Police did not say how serious their injuries were.

Police did not share any suspect information.
