This year’s parade starts in downtown Denver on Thursday, Jan. 4.
DENVER — Denver’s streets are about to be decked out with cattle, horses and wagons for the 2024 National Western Stock Show Kick-Off Parade.
The parade, which precedes the National Western Stock Show, is held annually to celebrate western traditions in Colorado. Kicking off the 118th National Western Stock Show, this year’s parade is taking place Thursday, Jan. 4 at noon.
The parade begins outside Denver’s Union Station and marches 12 blocks down 17th Street to Glenarm Place. Drivers should prepare for closures around the parade route.
Randy Gradishar, a Denver Broncos legend and the 1978 NFL Defensive Player of the Year, will lead the 2024 parade as Grand Marshal.

After the parade, people are invited to the Stock Show Fair at McGregor Square to enjoy McNicholas Miniatures therapy horses, western royalty, ice skating and a food market.
