The shooting happened Monday afternoon in the 800 block of South Onieda Street, police said.

DENVER — Denver Police said officers were involved in a shooting of a suspect Monday afternoon after attempting a traffic stop.

The shooting happened in the 800 block of South Onieda Street in southeast Denver, near Quebec Street and South Leetsdale Drive, according to a tweet from Denver Police.

The suspect was shot and taken to a hospital. Their condition was not known, police said.
