Denver Police investigate deadly shooting Saturday morning

Police said one person was pronounced dead in the 2800 block of Moline Street.

DENVER — Denver Police are investigating a deadly shooting with one victim Saturday morning.

Police said the call came in at 8:01 a.m. for a shooting in the 2800 block of Moline Street.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said a traffic stop was conducted nearby at the intersection of 17th Street and Oakland Avenue, which is closed while investigators work to determine if that vehicle is involved.

Police were not able to share any additional details on the circumstances surrounding the shooting or suspect information.

The victim’s ID and cause of death will be released by the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner after an autopsy and notification of next of kin.

From there, an awards committee reviews the information provided and, if the information leads to an arrest, the tipster will be notified. Rewards can be collected using the code numbers received when the tip was originally submitted.
