The crash happened early Sunday on the eastbound lanes of I-70 at I-225.
DENVER — Denver Police are investigating a crash on Interstate 70 that killed a person and injured three more Sunday morning.
Police tweeted at 3:16 a.m. that officers were on the scene of the crash on the eastbound lanes of I-70 at Interstate 225.
One victim was pronounced dead at the scene, and the others were taken to the hospital, police said.
Police did not say how many cars were involved, or the circumstances that caused the crash.
Eastbound I-70 was closed at Peoria Street while officers investigated. Alternate routes were advised.
