An evacuation order has been issued for people in the area of Lakeshore Drive near Gross Reservoir.
Officials in Boulder County issued an evacuation order just before 3 p.m. for a new wildfire burning on the northeast end of Gross Reservoir off Lakeshore Drive. Boulder’s Officer of Disaster Management is calling it the Lake Shore Fire.
People in the area of Lakeshore Drive near Gross Reservoir are being told to evacuate immediately.
An evacuation warning was issued for the area east of Lake Shore Drive, southwest of the City of Boulder, northeast of Gross Reservoir.
An evacuation point is open at the East Boulder Community Center, 5660 Sioux Dr. in Boulder, Boulder ODM posted.
Boulder County Sheriff’s Office says Flagstaff Road is closed so residents can evacuate, and fire crews can respond.


The size and containment of the fire are unknown at this time.
Three other wildfires are burning along the Front Range: The Alexander Mountain Fire in Larimer County, the Stone Canyon Fire in Boulder County and the Quarry Fire in Jefferson County.
