The initial investigation revealed the victim and suspect were involved in a disturbance before the suspect intentionally hit the victim with his car, police say.
WESTMINSTER, Colo. — A man was hit and killed by a car Saturday night after an altercation with the suspect, Westminster Police Department said in a release Sunday morning.
Officers responded to a call just after 10 p.m. that a man had been hit by a car near Alcott and Zuni streets. The man was taken to the hospital where he then died.
The person who hit him fled the scene before officers arrived. The initial investigation revealed the victim and suspect were involved in a disturbance before the suspect intentionally hit the victim with his car, according to police.
Westminster Police say they’re looking for two cars – one the suspect was driving and another they believe is associated with the suspect.
The first is a black Dodge Ram truck with chrome wheels and a large circular sticker on the driver’s back window. It has a pole sticking up from the truck bed and a truck bed work box. Police do not know the license plate.
The second car is an older two-door model. Police say it could be white and tan colored and is lowered with aftermarket rims.
The victim’s name will be released by the Adams County Coroner’s Office.
