Dr. Brian Rohrick, accused of touching women inappropriately during chiropractic visits, pleaded guilty to a felony and a misdemeanor.
FORT COLLINS, Colo. — A Fort Collins chiropractor accused of touching women inappropriately during multiple visits to the chiropractor pleaded guilty Tuesday.
Dr. Brian Rohrick, 41, pleaded guilty to second-degree assault causing serious bodily injury, a felony, and an unauthorized practice – chiropractic, a misdemeanor, according to court documents.
The Fort Collins Police Department began investigating Rohrick in January 2023 after a woman said he had inappropriately touched her over a series of chiropractic visits at Peak Performance Chiropractic at 1315 Oakridge Dr. in Fort Collins.
According to an arrest affidavit, a woman told a police officer that Rohrick touched private areas in a manner that was not consistent with her prior appointments. She said Rohrick touched her sexually, and it caused her “shock” and “anxiety.”
As they investigated her claims, police discovered that a different person made a complaint to the Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) in 2019. The woman reported “Dr. Brian crossed many client/patient boundaries including asking me invasive questions about my sexual history, putting his hand down my shirt, and offering me sexual favors.”
The person who filed that complaint with DORA did not report the allegation to law enforcement. Investigators reached out to the victim and said she did not wish to move forward with her reported assault in 2019.
According to the arrest affidavit, DORA in early 2020 decided not to take action against Rohrick’s license as they had “no reasonable cause” to move forward with an investigation. The board did tell Rohrick, according to documents, that they were concerned with how he was communicating and interacting with female patients.
Rohrick’s sentencing hearing will be Jan. 15.
