ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Bo Nix was named NFL Offensive Rookie of the Month for October, the NFL announced Thursday.
The Denver Broncos rookie quarterback joins running backs Clinton Portis (2002) and Mike Anderson (2000) as the only Broncos players in team history to win the award.
In four starts in October, Nix completed 82-of-123 passes for 870 yards with seven touchdowns and one interception. Nix also rushed 29 times for 149 yards with two scores.
In October, Nix led all rookies in offensive touchdowns, passing scores, completions, completion percentage and passing yards.
So far this season, Nix has started all eight games and completed 165-of-261 passes (63.2%) for 1,530 yards with eight touchdowns and five interceptions.
