The Ride for Magnus is being held in honor of the 17-year-old National Team cyclist killed in a crash last year.
BOULDER, Colo. — The Ride for Magnus honoring 17-year-old Magnus White, a Team USA cyclist who was killed in a crash last year, is taking place in Boulder Sunday morning.
Bicyclists are scheduled to leave the University of Colorado Boulder Campus at 10 a.m. and ride north on Folsom and 26th streets to Jay Road, then continue south on Diagonal Highway to the site where White died. They will then return to CU Boulder’s campus around noon.
The entire bike ride will be about 13.5 miles long.
There will be rolling road closures along the route, and Diagonal Highway will be put into two-way traffic on the Longmont-bound lanes.
Drivers should expect delays and use alternate routes when possible.

The crash happened July 29, 2023, on southbound Highway 119 just past North 63rd Street.
The driver accused of hitting and killing White pleaded not guilty in Boulder County court in May.
White was training to compete in the upcoming World Championships in Scotland when he was killed.
Following the crash, White’s parents founded The White Line, hoping to create safer cycling environments while also raising awareness about what happened to their son.
