Police said the shooting happened near 1030 S. Blackhawk St. just before 1 a.m. Saturday.
AURORA, Colo. — A teenage girl is in the hospital after being seriously injured in a shooting that took place early Saturday morning in Aurora, police said.
Just before 1 a.m. Saturday, officers with the Aurora Police Department responded to a shooting that occurred in the area of 1030 S. Blackhawk St., which is near an apartment complex, the department said in a release. Police said it is unclear whether the shooting happened inside, outside or inside a vehicle.
The release said a 17-year-old girl was the victim of the shooting. She was initially taken to a nearby urgent care but was later transferred to a hospital for life-threatening injuries, per the release.
No arrests have been made in connection to the shooting.
