Aurora 19-year-old missing after leaving Greeley event last week

Leslie Elizama Vicente Vicente was last seen at a gas station along US Highway 85 on June 13.

GREELEY, Colo. — Greeley Police are asking for help finding a woman who never arrived home after leaving an event in Greeley last week. 

Leslie Elizama Vicente Vicente, 19, lives in Aurora and attended a religious event at the Island Grove Regional Park in northeast Greeley on June 13, police said. According to police, she left the event around 9:10 p.m. and started driving south on US Highway 85. 

She was last seen at around 9:45 p.m. at the Fast Break Gas Station near US 85 and 42nd Street in Evans. Police said she left the gas station and continued south on US 85, but never arrived at home and hasn’t been heard from since. 

Vicente Vicente was wearing the pictured red dress and sandals when she went missing. Police said she was driving a 2009 Nissan Murano with Colorado license plate CLF-B27. 


She is described as having black hair and brown eyes and is about 5 feet, two inches tall and weighs 120 pounds.

“AMBER” stands for America’s Missing: Broadcast Emergency Response. The alert was created after the January 1996 kidnapping and murder of 9-year-old Amber Hagerman. 

Certain criteria must be met before an AMBER Alert is issued 

  • The abducted child must be 17 years old or younger. 

  • The abducted child must be in immediate danger of serious bodily harm or death. 

  • There must be enough descriptive information available to believe a broadcast will assist or aid in the recovery. 

  • A local law enforcement agency or AMBER designee from another state must request the activation. 

The Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is responsible for issuing AMBER alerts.
