The reward has been increased to $4,500 for information about the deaths of Omar Williams and Kejuan Mays.
AURORA, Colo. — The Aurora Police Department is looking for information that may help their investigation into a shooting that killed two people a year ago.
Omar Williams, 25, and Kejuan Mays, 27, were killed in the 2023 shooting. The men’s bodies were found the morning of Aug. 19, 2023, in the alley between Fulton and Galena streets just north of East 22nd Avenue.
Police said their investigation has determined Mays and Williams were visiting with friends the night of Aug. 18, 2023, in downtown Denver. Police said there is no indication the victims or their friends were involved in any altercations while in Denver. The two victims left in Williams’ Dodge Journey, police said.
Investigators later obtained surveillance video of the Journey leaving the alley between Fulton and Galena streets. Police believe the video captures the driver of the Journey leaving the scene after the killings.
The Journey was recovered in October at an apartment complex near East Alameda Parkway and South Kittredge Street.
Police said they have not received any tips or information about the case.
Police said Mays’ parents, Alonso and Felishea Bradway, are urging anyone with information to come forward, no matter how insignificant they think the tip might be. Mays was their first-born child, the oldest of four siblings and father to his own son, who will be 3 years old next month.
Anyone with any information that may help the investigation is asked to contact Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-STOP (7867). There is a $4,500 reward for any information that leads to the identification and arrest of a suspect. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
