American Airlines plane incident at DFW Airport

American Airlines said they are fully cooperating with the FAA’s investigation into the incident.

DALLAS — There was an incident Saturday evening at DFW Airport after an American Airlines plane over ran the runway while landing. 

The incident, which happened at about 7:41 p.m., was due to a braking malfunction, according to the FAA. 

There were no reported injuries among the 99 passengers and six crew members on board, American Airlines said in a statement. 

The FAA said passengers and crew were deplaned and bused to the terminal. 

American Airlines said they are fully cooperating with the FAA’s investigation into the incident.

The plane, a Boeing 737-800, was manufactured in 2009. It had departed from Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport in Washington, D.C.
