LeBlanc’s post comes two weeks after he and the rest of the “Friends” cast issued a joint statement on Perry’s death.
WASHINGTON — Matt LeBlanc penned an emotional tribute to his late “Friends” co-star Matthew Perry on Instagram Tuesday.
LeBlanc shared a series of photos of him and the Emmy-nominated actor on the set of the hit NBC series. The photo carousel also included a picture of the “Friends” cast in a group hug.
“Matthew. It is with a heavy heart I say goodbye. The times we had together are honestly among the favorite times of my life,” the 56-year-old actor said. ” It was an honor to share the stage with you and to call you my friend. I will always smile when I think of you and I’ll never forget you. Never.”
“Spread your wings and fly brother you’re finally free. Much love,” LeBlanc continued before adding, “And I guess you’re keeping the 20 bucks you owe me.”
The 56-year-old actor played Joey Tribbiani, Perry’s on-screen best friend and roommate, on “Friends” for 10 seasons.

“We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just cast mates. We are a family. There is so much to say, but right now we’re going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss. In time we will say more, as and when we are able. For now, our thoughts and our love are with Matty’s family, his friends, and everyone who loved him around the world,” the cast said in a joint statement on Oct. 30.
Perry was found dead at his Los Angeles home on Oct. 28. His cause of death remains unknown pending additional investigation by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office.
