GLENDALE, Colo. — A woman is in custody as Glendale Police continue their search for two men also believed to be involved in a fatal shooting at an apartment complex last week.
Sarah Sandoval, 21, was arrested in Texas and is currently in custody in Austin.
Around 3 a.m. on April 5, officers responded to a report of shots fired in an apartment located at 4701 E. Mississippi Ave., a few blocks east of Colorado Boulevard.
Gianni Fernandez, 20, was pronounced dead at the scene, and another man was taken to the hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening, police said.
After the shooting, police released photos of three people they said were possibly involved. According to police, one of them, now identified as Sarah Sandoval, 21, was invited to the complex by the victim. She was later seen opening a security gate to allow two men to enter the complex, police said.
At 2:59 a.m., Sandoval and the two men were seen fleeing the complex. One of the men has been identified as 22-year-old Caleb Choice. It’s believed that Choice and the other still unidentified man are in Texas and could be headed to Florida.
The third suspect is believed to have a tattoo on his right hand that is described by police as “tribal.” Investigators released a photo of it.
