All DCPA performances for Thursday, including the opening night of “Shrek The Musical,” are canceled due to weather.
DENVER — The Denver Center for the Performing Arts (DCPA) canceled all theatre performances on Thursday due to inclement weather.
The canceled performances include the opening night of “Shrek the Musical” at the Buell Theatre.
Patrons with tickets to Thursday’s performances are asked to visit DenverCenter.org for ticket options on specific shows.
“Shrek the Musical,” “Cebollas,” and “Rubicon” all end their productions at the Denver Performing Arts Complex on Sunday.
Hundreds of schools, businesses, museums and government offices are closed while a strong spring snowstorm impacts Colorado.


A strong winter storm brought a lot of heavy, wet snow to Colorado. After rain changed over to snow late Wednesday, the snow began to pile up Thursday across Colorado’s Front Range, foothills, mountains and Denver metro area.
The snow will continue throughout Thursday, and Colorado won’t see a break in the snowfall until the system starts to move southward early Friday morning.
Hundreds of flights have been canceled at Denver International Airport on Thursday.
Hundreds of Colorado schools, businesses, museums and government offices are closed Thursday.
