Mega Millions: Winning numbers for $735M jackpot on 3/12/24

WASHINGTON — The Mega Millions jackpot has grown to $735 million after nobody correctly matched all six numbers in Tuesday night’s drawing. 

The numbers were 2-16-31-57-64, Mega Ball: 24, Megaplier: 3.

It wasn’t immediately known if anyone matched all six numbers. 

Mega Millions hasn’t seen a grand prize winner since December 8, 2023, when two tickets shared a $394 million jackpot.

The cash value of Tuesday’s jackpot was $354.3 million. Winners almost always take the cash option, but they do have a choice to instead get the full amount in regular payments over 29 years. 

Last year was a big year for massive lottery jackpots, with two Mega Millions jackpots and one Powerball jackpot worth over $1 billion. While Tuesday’s $735 million jackpot still doesn’t crack the top ten largest U.S. lottery jackpots, it would be the sixth-largest prize in Mega Millions history. 

The odds of winning the jackpot are one in 302,575,350.

The winning numbers were 2-16-31-57-64 Mega Ball: 24 and Megaplier: 3.

Mega Millions drawings take place on Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m. Eastern Time.
