Pre-evacuation notices have been sent to residents along Perry Park Road south of Tomah Road, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said
PERRY PARK, Colo. — Crews are battling a large grass fire Friday afternoon in southern Douglas County.
Larkspur Fire and Castle Rock Fire are on scene in the area of the 5500 block of South Perry Park Road.
The fire is currently estimated to be about 60 acres.
Pre-evacuation notices were sent to residents along Perry Park Road south of Tomah Road, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.
The Sheriff’s Office said that shifting winds are making it difficult to currently assess if any structures are threatened.
The Douglas County Office of Emergency Management is also on scene.
South Metro Fire Rescue said they are sending six units to assist battling the blaze.
