Explosion in Aurora injures 2 people

AURORA, Colo. — Two people were rushed to a hospital after a propane tank exploded Thursday morning.

The explosion occurred in the area of East 2nd Avenue and Dearborn Way just after 10 a.m., Aurora Fire Rescue said. That’s just east of South Sable Boulevard and a few blocks south of East 6th Avenue.

Officials said one person suffered life-threatening burns, while another suffered burns that are not considered life-threatening.

The cause of the explosion is under investigation, Aurora Fire said.
