DENVER — Denver Police are looking for the driver of a Subaru who was involved in a hit-and-run crash Tuesday morning that left a pedestrian seriously injured.
The crash happened just after 10 a.m. near Broadway and Curtis Street, according to Denver Police. The victim, a man, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
They’re looking for a green and tan 2001 Subaru Outback with Colorado license plate BLX E64. The Colorado Bureau of Investigation issued a Medina Alert related to the crash and provided a stock photo of the vehicle they believe was involved. It was last seen headed south on Broadway, according to Denver Police.
A description of the driver was not provided.
Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or Denver Police at 720-913-2000 and select option 2.
Medina Alerts were signed into law on March 25, 2014, and went into effect on Dec. 30, 2014. They’re named for Jose Medina, a 21-year-old valet driver who was killed by a hit-and-run driver in 2011.
Medina Alerts are issued following hit-and-run crashes where someone is seriously hurt or killed. Law enforcement also must have sufficient information about the suspect or the suspect’s vehicle, such as a license plate number and the vehicle’s make, style, and color.
