Daniel Krug is charged with murder, stalking, and criminal impersonation in connection to the death of Kristil Krug.
BROOMFIELD, Colo. — Prosecutors formally charged a man with first-degree murder and other charges after a woman was found dead inside a Broomfield last week.
Officers were called to a home in the 3100 block of Promontory Loop about 1 p.m. on Dec. 14 to conduct a welfare check. That’s in the Anthem Highlands neighborhood, south of East Baseline Road and west of Sheridan Parkway.
When officers arrived, they found a deceased woman with apparent injuries, according to the Broomfield Police Department.
The victim was later identified as 43-year-old Kristil Krug.
Daniel Krug, also 43, was arrested in connection with her death on Saturday. On Thursday, prosecutors charged him with:
- First-degree murder – after deliberation
- Two counts stalking
- Criminal impersonation
Court records show that Daniel Krug is being held on a $5 million cash-only bond.
