3 killed, 3 injured in overnight shooting in Denver

Police are investigating the shooting that happened early Saturday at 12445 E. 39th Ave. in northeast Denver.

DENVER — Denver Police are investigating a shooting early Saturday morning that killed three and injured three more in northeast Denver.

Police said officers responded around 1:37 a.m. to reports of a shooting at 12445 E. 39th Ave.

Officers found a victim at the scene who was pronounced dead and learned later that five people had self-transported to the hospital, where two of them died. Police said the other three victims are expected to survive.

Preliminary information shows the shooting happed during a party at an industrial storefront, and investigators believe at least two guns were fired, police said.

Police did not release any additional suspect information or other details surrounding the shooting.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867 or visit metrodenvercrimestoppers.com. Tipsters can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000. 

Metro Denver Crime Stoppers works by assigning a code to people who anonymously submit a tip. Information is shared with law enforcement, and Crime Stoppers is notified at the conclusion of the investigation. 

From there, an awards committee reviews the information provided and, if the information leads to an arrest, the tipster will be notified. Rewards can be collected using the code numbers received when the tip was originally submitted.
