Police said the westbound lanes of East Colfax will be closed between Oswego and Peoria streets for several hours.
AURORA, Colo. — The westbound lanes of East Colfax Avenue are closed between Oswego and Peoria streets after a hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a pedestrian.
The Aurora Police Department said a driver ran into a man as he crossed East Colfax outside of a crosswalk just before 8 p.m. Saturday. The man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Police said the vehicle is described as a white or silver pickup truck with a black bed.
The westbound lanes of East Colfax will be closed for several hours for the investigation, according to police. Drivers are being told to use 13th or 17th avenues as alternate westbound routes.
